Profile notes
Lomography Redscale XR 50-200 was introduced in summer 2010. The film is a conventional color negative stock that has been reverse-loaded into the cassette so that light strikes the film base first rather than the emulsion side directly. This physical manipulation filters out blue and green wavelengths, producing the signature redscale palette of deep reds, oranges, and yellows. The XR extended range allows the photographer to control intensity: rating the film at ISO 200 produces the deepest, most saturated reds and oranges, while ISO 50 permits more blue and green tones to bleed through, yielding softer yellow-orange results. Processed in standard C-41 chemistry. Available in 35mm and 120 formats.
