Profile notes
Potsdam Kino 100 is Lomography's slow-speed cinema B&W film, officially identified as respooled ORWO UN54—a high-silver triacetate-base cine emulsion manufactured in Germany. Unlike Berlin Kino 400 (whose ORWO N74 lineage is inferred), Lomography and community sources consistently confirm the Potsdam/UN54 relationship. The heavy silver content produces rich D-max blacks, fine grain, excellent sharpness, and broad tonal range with subtle micro-contrast. At ISO 100 it is best suited to bright conditions, studio, landscape, and architecture work where maximum image quality is prioritized over speed. Development times on the Massive Dev Chart under ORWO UN54 apply directly. Available in 35mm and 120 formats.
