Profile notes

Announced in June 2022, Dubblefilm Cinema 800 is a 35mm color negative film hand-respooled from Kodak Vision3 500T (5219) cinema stock. The remjet backing layer is manually removed by Dubblefilm prior to spooling, making it compatible with standard C-41 chemistry at any photo lab. The manual respooling process may result in light leaks on the first few frames. Tungsten-balanced at 3200K, the film produces saturated colors, characteristic red-orange halation halos around bright light sources, and a blue-shifted appearance in daylight. ISO 800 makes it well-suited to low-light and indoor photography. DX code stickers are required for cameras that auto-read film speed, as the cassettes are not factory DX-coded.
