ADOX CHS 100 II is an orthopanchromatically sensitized black and white film with an ISO speed of 100 ASA / 21° DIN. It features a classical grain structure and a sensitization optimized for greyscale separation, constructed from two separate emulsions in a single layer coating. The film offers large exposure latitude and harmonic tonal separation, with improved differentiation between similar tones such as lips/face, clouds/sky, and water/land compared to modern films. CHS 100 II can be reversal processed and is coated onto clear archival polyester (PET) base. The film is available in 35mm, 120 medium format, and sheetfilms up to 20x24 inches. The 35mm and 120 formats include dual anti-halation layers to prevent light piping and enhance sharpness. The film is manufactured in Germany under strict quality control.
