Rollei Infrared is distributed by Maco Photo Products (Germany) and is coated on a crystal-clear polyester base, making it suitable for reversal processing as well as standard negative development. Nominal sensitivity ranges from ISO 200 to 400 depending on filter use and conditions; with an R72 infrared filter effective speed drops significantly. The film's spectral sensitivity reaches to approximately 820 nm, making it the most sensitive infrared film currently in production. Its clear base aids scanning and slide processing. Without an infrared filter it renders as a high-acutance, fine-grain orthodox black-and-white film.
