Profile notes

Kodak Gold 100 was a daylight-balanced consumer color negative film offering fine grain, high sharpness, and the warm, saturated color palette characteristic of the Kodak Gold family. As a low-speed ISO 100 film it was ideal for bright outdoor use and was marketed as a budget-friendly alternative to Kodak's professional Ektar and Portra lines. It delivered accurate skin tones and pleasing color saturation with moderate contrast. Processed in standard C-41. The film was originally part of the Kodacolor Gold line and evolved through several emulsion generations before being discontinued approximately in 2008, as consumer film demand shifted toward faster, more versatile stocks. It remains sought after on secondary markets for its classic Kodak rendering at a slower speed.
