Profile notes
KODAK AEROCOLOR III Negative Film 2444 is an aerial color negative film manufactured by Kodak's Aerial Imaging division, optimized for photogrammetry, geological surveys, forestry, pollution monitoring, and remote sensing. Its T-grain emulsion delivers extremely fine grain and high sharpness. Though the film's primary process is Kodak's own AN-6, it is fully compatible with standard C-41 chemistry, making it accessible to film photographers who respool it in 135 format. Daylight-balanced at ISO 160, it offers wide exposure latitude and excellent color rendition. The film base is a 3.9 mil ESTAR substrate for dimensional stability. Photographers have respooled and used this emulsion as a creative general-purpose color negative film, prizing its neutral color palette and fine grain. It remains an active production film available in bulk aerial rolls.
