Ilford Ortho Plus 80 is a fine-grain, high-resolution orthochromatic film rated ISO 80 (reduced to ISO 40 under tungsten light due to the film's lack of red sensitivity). Originally designed as a high-resolution duplicating/copy film, it has been embraced by pictorial and landscape photographers for its unique rendering: blue and green subjects reproduce normally, but reds and oranges are rendered darker, producing strong tonal separation in foliage, skies, and natural scenes. The absence of red sensitivity means the film can be handled and inspected under deep red safelights — a useful darkroom advantage. Extremely fine grain and very high sharpness make it well-suited for landscapes, architecture, and fine-art printing. Processes in standard B&W developers. Available in 35mm, 120, and sheet film (4×5 and 8×10) formats.
