Ilford FP4 Plus is one of the most respected and long-established black-and-white emulsions in the world. Manufactured by HARMAN Technology, it is rated ISO 125/22° and is notable for very fine grain, outstanding sharpness, high acutance, and a superb tonal scale that renders subjects with exceptional subtlety. FP4 Plus is descended from Ilford's FP4 formula introduced in 1968, with the 'Plus' reformulation added to improve performance. It responds excellently to pull processing (EI 50–80 for even finer grain) and tolerates push to EI 200 with minimal quality loss. Ideal in good natural light: portraits, fashion, landscape, architecture, and product photography. Processes in all standard B&W chemistries. Available in 35mm, 120, and sheet film formats. Data note: the database row for this stock records ISO 400, which is a data entry error — FP4 Plus is an ISO 125 film.
