HARMAN RED

HARMAN RED 125 is a professionally manufactured redscale C-41 color negative film launched February 14, 2025. Built on the Phoenix emulsion platform, it delivers intense red, orange, and yellow tones by reversing the film's exposure order, with a clear base and no anti-halation layer amplifying the effect.

Profile notes

HARMAN RED 125 is HARMAN Technology's first purpose-built redscale film, announced on Valentine's Day 2025 in 35mm format and followed by 120 format in June 2025. Unlike DIY redscale (which re-spools conventional film backwards), RED 125 is professionally manufactured as a factory-finished redscale product based on the Phoenix emulsion. The absence of masking dyes and an anti-halation layer produces intense reds, oranges, and yellows, with a strong halation glow around highlights. The nominal ISO is 125, but the film can be shot anywhere from EI 50 to EI 400: lower exposure produces richer reds and coarser grain, while higher exposure brightens yellows and reduces contrast. Processed in standard C-41 chemistry. DX-coded at ISO 125. Available in 35mm (36 exp) and 120 formats.
