Profile notes

KUMO 250D ('kumo' meaning cloud in Japanese) is FilmNeverDie's daylight-balanced motion picture emulsion offering. Confirmed by FilmNeverDie's own product page as an ECN-2 film sourced from cinema film production, the underlying stock is widely recognized across the analog community as Kodak Vision3 250D (5207) — a fine-grained, daylight-balanced cine emulsion celebrated for its broad dynamic range and exceptional highlight control. The film retains its remjet backing layer, meaning it requires ECN-2 development and cannot be sent to standard C-41 labs without first removing the remjet in a pre-bath. It is DX coded and available in 36 exposures. KUMO 250D delivers a characteristically cinematic palette: pastel-leaning, subtle saturation, with excellent shadow-to-highlight range. It is best used in daylight or with daylight-balanced flash.
