Profile notes
Film Washi K is produced by Film Washi EURL of Josselin, France, from remaining stock of Kodak Plus-X Aerographic Film 2402 that expired around 2000 (Kodak's own production of this emulsion ceased in 2011). The film is coated on Kodak's 4-mil ESTAR polyester base, providing excellent dimensional stability and moisture resistance. At ISO 100 with fine-to-moderate grain and moderate contrast, it has heightened sensitivity to red wavelengths — a characteristic of aerial film optimized for haze penetration — making it well suited to landscape photography. It is available in 120 roll film and 4×5 sheet formats. Standard BW developers such as Rodinal, D-76/ID-11, and Kodak XTOL produce excellent results. Note: the input data describes this as 'Kodak X-ray paper' — this is incorrect; Washi K is Kodak Plus-X Aerographic aerial film, not X-ray paper.
