Profile notes
CatLABS X FILM 100 Color is a fine-grain, daylight-balanced ISO 100 C-41 color negative film produced by CatLABS, a photography lab based in Boston, USA. First released in 120 format in June 2023, followed by 135, the film is widely identified as re-spooled Kodak Aerocolor IV 2460 color aerial surveillance film. It features a near-clear base that aids scanning, superb sharpness, soft and vivid warm tones, and a distinct color coupler structure not found in mainstream film stocks. It can also be cross-processed in E-6 for high-contrast positive results. Wide exposure latitude makes it suitable for both bright daylight and long-exposure available-light shooting.
