Released 1981 as Ricoh's enthusiast K-mount body. Variants: XR-7M (1986, refined), XR-7 MII (1989). Production ran 9 years.
For 2026 K-mount buyers, the XR-7 is a slightly more capable budget alternative to the basic KR-5 (manual only). Used at $60–150. The 16-second slow-speed AE is uncommon for the era. Trade-off: less famous than Pentax K-mount bodies; service is scarce.
