Released 1984 as Canon's transition consumer SLR. Production ran 2 years until 1986 when the T90 (pro) and T80 (autofocus consumer) launched. The T70 was the volume seller of the T-series.
For 2026 buyers wanting cheap FD-mount with full PASM, the T70 at $60–150 used is the entry point. AA batteries means no proprietary battery concerns. Trade-off: plastic feel, no autofocus, large LCD susceptible to bleed.
Canon FD system. Speedlite 277T, 244T flash.
