The Konica III (1956) is the predecessor of the better-known IIIA (1958). Same body design, same Hexanon 48/2 six-element lens, same Seikosha leaf shutter, same coupled rangefinder, same 1.0× lifesize finder. The IIIA added refinements (improved finder, more-precise rangefinder cam) but the III is mechanically equivalent.
