The Yashica 635 (1958) is a 6×6 medium-format TLR with **dual-format capability** — accepts both standard 120 film (12×6×6 cm) and 35mm film (via included 35mm adapter cassettes). The 35mm mode shoots full-frame 24×36 mm exposures with a masked viewfinder. Unique among TLRs, which were almost exclusively 120-only. Same Yashinon 80/3.5 Tessar as the Yashica D / Mat.

Released 1958. Production ran 11 years until 1969. The dual-format capability was Yashica's distinctive feature — sold as a "two cameras in one." Required separate film cassettes and a frame mask for 35mm mode.
For 2026 buyers, the Yashica 635 is a quirky collector's TLR. Used at $180–380. The dual-format capability is interesting historically but limited in practice — most users either stay with 120 (the camera's strength) or use a dedicated 35mm camera.
Lens fixed. Yashica 35mm adapter cassettes (often missing on used bodies; verify before purchase if 35mm capability matters).
