The Mini Evo (2021) is technically a digital camera that prints to Instax Mini film. A 1/5-inch CMOS sensor captures images, you preview on a 3-inch rear LCD, apply one of **10 lens effects × 10 film effects = 100 combinations** (selected via two dials on the front and top), and tell the camera to print only the frames you want. Bluetooth connection to a phone allows sending images from the phone to print on Instax film, replacing the standalone Instax Link printer.

The Mini Evo is the first Instax that lets you not waste film. Standard Instax cameras commit to a frame as soon as you press the shutter — bad exposure, blurred subject, blinking eye, you've spent ¥80/print on it. The Evo lets you shoot, review, decide, then print. For users who want Instax aesthetic but don't want to pay $1.30 per shot for failures, the Evo is the rational answer.
It's also the highest-volume Instax sold to "creative" buyers — roughly 4× the Mini 99's price point if you count "willingness to engage manual controls," but with digital convenience that lower-end users prefer.
Fixed lens. Bluetooth pairing with Fujifilm Instax mobile app. Standard Instax Mini film cartridges. Mini Evo Black, Mini Evo Brown editions; otherwise minimal accessories.
