The Canon Demi (1963) was Canon's half-frame 35mm camera, competing with the Olympus Pen EE. Selenium-coupled meter (no battery), Canon 28/2.8 four-element lens, simple leaf shutter, zone focus, programmed AE. Variants: **Demi C** (interchangeable lens version, very rare), **Demi S** (1964, faster lens), **Demi EE17** (1966, faster lens with rangefinder).

Released 1963 to compete with the Olympus Pen EE in the half-frame market. Production ran 6 years through multiple variants. Canon's Demi line never matched Olympus Pen sales but produced a respectable competitor body.
For 2026 half-frame collectors, the Demi is the Canon alternative to the more-common Olympus Pens. Used at $70–200, comparable pricing to Pen EE-2/EE-3. The Demi C variant (interchangeable lens) is rare and pricey if you encounter one.
