The Yashica T5 (2003, **T5D** with date back) is the late-period successor to the iconic T4. Same Carl Zeiss Tessar T* 35/3.5 lens, same general form factor, same general capability. Refinements: slightly improved viewfinder, refined cosmetics, weatherproof rating. Production ran briefly before Yashica/Kyocera exited cameras in 2005.

Released 2003 as the final Yashica T-series compact before Kyocera ended Yashica brand camera production in 2005. The T5 is significantly less common in used markets than the T4 — most "Yashica T-series" buyers got T4 / T4 Super / T4 Super D bodies.
For Yashica T-series enthusiasts wanting the most-refined version of the T4 concept, the T5 is the choice. Used at $400–700, similar pricing to T4. The weatherproofing and refined viewfinder are genuine improvements; the Zeiss Tessar T* lens is identical optical performance.
Lens fixed. Original case is plastic with leatherette wrap.
